Terms, refunds, and privacy

01 What you are buying

Plainstart sells digital products: editable document templates, checklists, and guides for adopting AI in a business. Products are delivered as downloadable files immediately after purchase. There is no physical product and no ongoing service unless a product page says otherwise.

02 Your licence

You get a licence to use and adapt the products within your own business, or the business you bought them for.

• Edit, adapt, and use the templates inside your organisation.
• Keep your copies indefinitely.
• Do not resell, redistribute, or give away the files as your own product.
• Do not publish the templates publicly so others can download them free.

03 This is guidance, not professional advice

Plainstart products are practical business tools and general information. They are not legal, financial, tax, or professional advice, and buying them does not create a professional relationship. Every business is different and laws vary by country. Before you rely on any policy, checklist, or template, check it against your own circumstances and your local law, and get professional advice where the stakes warrant it. You are responsible for how you use the products.

04 No guaranteed outcome

The products are designed to help you adopt AI more safely and effectively. They cannot guarantee any particular result, saving, or compliance outcome, because that depends on how you apply them and on factors outside our control.

05 Payment and tax

Payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated and added at checkout based on your location. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's checkout terms.

06 Intellectual property

Sypher Limited retains all intellectual property rights in the products, except for the licence granted to you in clause 02.

07 Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sypher Limited's total liability arising from a product is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be excluded.

01 Digital goods

Because products are delivered immediately as downloadable files, they are generally non-returnable once downloaded. By completing your purchase you acknowledge this.

02 When we will refund

• The files are faulty, corrupted, or will not download, and we cannot fix it promptly.
• The product is materially not as described on its page.
• You bought the wrong product or a duplicate, you contact us within 14 days, and you have not made substantial use of it.

03 How to request one

Email hello@getplainstart.com within 14 days of purchase with your order number and the reason. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

04 Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country, which may give you additional refund rights for digital products. Where such law applies, it prevails over this policy.

05 Chargebacks

Please contact us first. We would almost always rather solve the problem directly than have you go through your bank.

01 What we collect

• Email address, when you download the free policy or subscribe. Used to send you the product and a short follow-up sequence about the paid kit.
• Purchase information, when you buy. Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. We receive order details but not your full card number.
• Basic usage data, via Cloudflare Web Analytics, to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. This is cookieless and does not track you across other websites, so there is no cookie banner on this site and nothing to consent to.

02 Why we collect it

• To deliver the products you asked for.
• To send you relevant follow-up about the paid product. You can unsubscribe any time.
• To operate and improve the store.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send you unrelated marketing.

03 Who we share it with

Only the service providers that make the store work: Lemon Squeezy, which is our merchant of record and handles both checkout and the emails we send you, and Cloudflare, which hosts the site and provides the cookieless analytics above. Each processes your data only to provide their service.

04 How long we keep it

• Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you.
• Order records: as long as we are legally required to keep them for tax and accounting.

05 Your rights

Depending on your country, you can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in every email. To make a request, email hello@getplainstart.com.

06 International processing

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own by the providers above. We rely on those providers' safeguards for international transfers.
